Yekaterinburg, November 14, Interfax - The fourth independent examination of the supposed remains of the children of the Russian Emperor Nicholas II has been concluded, head of the Sverdlovsk Regional Bureau for Medical Expertise Nikolay Nevolin has said. U.S. experts are currently in Yekaterinburg, they have assessed the state of the bone fragments and possible further evidence, Nevolin said at a press conference in the Interfax-Urals press-center. "The U.S. experts have positively assessed the state of the bone tissue and selected specimens to be taken for molecular and genetic research. In addition to the U.S. laboratory, a British laboratory will also conduct research, as well as a genomics department within the Vavilov Institute," Nevolin said. In July, remains of two bodies with signs of violent death were discovered on the Old Koptyaki Road in the vicinity of Yekaterinburg. On preliminary findings, the remains of a child between 10 and 14 years and a young woman in her 20s were found. The currently theory is that the remains belong to Tsarevich Alexey and Grand Duchess Maria.
